The first time I went to London with my family I was only eight years old and it was summertime, Despite the fact it was in August we didn't expect sunny and hot weather, in fact we walked around the city under a typical English cloudy sky while it was drizzling at the same time.
I remember walking through green parks , feeding the ducks, admiring white swans and squirrels that pretended to play hide and seek with tourists. Since I used to live in a small village, London was a big surprise to me with its double-decker buses, black taxis, the Queen's residence, the royal guards in their red summer uniform.
In addition everywhere I could appreciate the politeness and efficiency of the English. It's a city that broadens the mind, giving an original and innovative feature in any field.
In every corner I could listen to musicians that reminded us it was the rock and pop music country. I'll never forget I couldn't stand the horrible spicy stink of fried burned onions but the jacket potatoes' smell was better.
After that first time I have come back to London many other summers and every time gives me new emotions and ideas.
